จุดที่ควรหยุดตรวจคือคำสั่งให้โอนเพื่อยืนยันกระเป๋า สแกน QR ที่ไม่รู้ปลายทาง หรือรีบทำตามตัวนับถอยหลัง ผู้หลอกลวงอาจใช้โลโก้จริงและเสียงหรือภาพที่สร้างด้วย AI ทำให้ความคุ้นตาไม่เพียงพอจะยืนยันว่าเป็นเจ้าของบัญชีตัวจริง
แนวทางที่ Coinbase แนะนำคือเปิดเว็บไซต์หรือช่องทางทางการแยกจากลิงก์ในโพสต์ แล้วตรวจสอบโปรโมชั่นด้วยตัวเอง FTC ก็ระบุว่าการแอบอ้างคนดังเพื่อสัญญาทวีจำนวนคริปโตเป็นรูปแบบกลโกงที่ต้องระวัง
หากโอนไปแล้วควรเก็บลิงก์ ชื่อบัญชี ที่อยู่กระเป๋า และข้อมูลธุรกรรม พร้อมแจ้งผู้ให้บริการและแพลตฟอร์มที่พบโพสต์ อย่าจ่ายเงินเพิ่มให้คนที่อ้างว่าจะกู้คืนให้โดยเก็บค่าธรรมเนียม การรายงานไม่ใช่การรับประกันว่าจะได้เงินคืน และข่าวนี้ไม่ชักชวนให้ลงทุนหรือเข้าร่วมแจกเหรียญ
Coinbase warns against fake crypto giveaways and livestream payment traps
Coinbase warned on 20 October 2026 that fake crypto giveaways can appear in livestreams, videos and impersonated social accounts. A common trap asks people to transfer cryptocurrency first in exchange for a larger payment or a prize.
Requests to verify a wallet through a transfer, unverified QR codes and countdown pressure are warning signs. Copied branding and AI-generated voices or images can make impersonation convincing.
The company advises checking official websites or channels independently rather than following links in the offer. The FTC also identifies celebrity impersonation and promises to multiply crypto as scam tactics.
Victims should preserve usernames, links, wallet addresses and transaction details, then report to the provider and hosting platform.
