Coinbase Sets October 30 Deadline for Affected EEA Stablecoin Balances
Coinbase’s current help guidance gives affected retail customers in the European Economic Area until October 30, 2026 to withdraw stablecoins it classifies as non-compliant with MiCA. Customers should check the official help page and their account-specific notices.
The listed assets are USDT, PAX, PYUSD, GUSD, GYEN, DAI, BUST, UST, RAI, PAXG, MUSD, USD1, USDS and TGBP. Coinbase says remaining affected balances will be converted automatically at the prevailing market rate into USDC where suitable, or another supported crypto asset or currency where it is not.
This concerns the customers and services specified by Coinbase. It should not be read as a worldwide prohibition applying to every platform. Affected users should verify balances, fees, destination networks and withdrawal conditions directly in the service.
