Riot outlines stronger checks for VCT 2027 online qualifiers
VALORANT teams preparing for VCT 2027 face checks beyond in-game performance. Riot Games’ 5 November integrity update says Open Qualifier competitors must comply with Vanguard requirements, meet account-standing standards and have reached a peak rank of Ascendant or higher within the previous six months.
Oversight increases as teams advance. Early rounds rely on anti-cheat protection and reporting, while Open Playoffs require a fuller framework including player-view recordings, voice monitoring and match-area cameras. Players broadcasting their own qualifier perspective must use a delay of at least two minutes. Creators need organiser approval before co-streaming those feeds.
Regional rules still govern age, residency and roster eligibility, and some details remain subject to final competition rules. Reaching the rank threshold alone does not guarantee acceptance. Suspected cheating or match manipulation should go through designated tournament reporting procedures for investigation; an online allegation is not itself a competitive ruling.
