ACI and Circle Plan a Colombian Pilot Linking USDC Settlement with Existing Payment Rails
ACI Worldwide and Circle announced on October 27, 2026 that they will demonstrate USDC settlement alongside existing banking and payment infrastructure, initially in Colombia. This is an institutional evaluation initiative, not confirmation of a new service already open to everyone.
The collaboration combines ACI Connetic’s payments orchestration with Circle’s USDC infrastructure. Colombia is the initial focus because ACI built the central infrastructure supporting Bre-B, the country’s interoperable instant-payment ecosystem.
The companies want institutions to assess how digital dollars fit treasury, governance and settlement workflows. The announcement does not mean that all Bre-B transactions have moved to blockchain or that USDC will replace every existing payment rail.
Stablecoins retain issuer, redemption, operational and regulatory risks. A partnership announcement does not guarantee a commercial launch date or returns for token or company shareholders. This report provides information and does not recommend investment.
