Van Dijk makes FIFPRO shortlist as the final World 11 awaits November 9
Liverpool confirmed on 2 November 2026 that Virgil van Dijk is among the nominees for the 2026 FIFPRO Men’s World 11. The award is voted for by professional players; nomination does not mean he has already made the final team.
FIFPRO lists 26 male finalists based on performances from 4 August 2025 through 19 July 2026. Eligibility requires at least 30 official appearances in that period. Van Dijk is among the shortlisted defenders.
