Reign of the Black Empire
Hearthstone’s Black Empire Pre-Release Brawl Remains Open Ahead of 20 October Launch
Hearthstone players can still try Reign of the Black Empire through the Pre-Release Tavern Brawl before the expansion’s 20 October 2026 launch. Blizzard schedules the event from patch 37.0 on 13 October until 20 October at 10:00 PDT, equivalent to midnight entering 21 October in Thailand.
Players build with Black Empire cards after selecting predefined class combinations. Most combine three classes, while a two-class option supports C’Thun interactions. Common and Rare cards from the set are supplied as temporary trial copies for the event.
Those trial cards do not become permanent collection items and are removed when the event ends. The first entry is free; subsequent entries cost two Tavern Tickets, 300 Gold or 400 Runestones. A run ends at six wins or three losses.
The patch also starts a new Arena season. The main expansion contains 135 cards and the Assemble keyword for custom minions. This report focuses on the brawl still open on 18 October; Community Days, scheduled to end on 17 October PDT, should not be mistaken for an ongoing reward window.
