EA Javelin Anticheat:
EA says Javelin Anticheat blocked 26.7 million cheating attempts
Electronic Arts has published a yearly update on EA Javelin Anticheat, its kernel-level PC security system. The company says it now covers 20 titles, safeguards 57.1 million players and has prevented 26.7 million cheating attempts.
EA reports detection accuracy above 99%, a stability error rate below 1%, and game launch times improved by 60%. These figures come from EA’s own report and should be understood as company-provided metrics.
New defenses target DMA hardware, input manipulation, macro software and synthetic inputs. Some titles also use Secure Boot or TPM 2.0 requirements. EA says Javelin runs only while a supported game is active and plans native ARM64 support.
For competitive games and EA SPORTS FC esports, integrity depends on technology, tournament rules and a fair appeals process. Stronger detection must therefore be balanced with transparency and protection for legitimate players.
