Trang’s Siyap Shrine Procession Reflects Thai–Chinese Traditions During the 2026 Vegetarian Festival
White-clad participants and roadside worship tables featured in Trang’s Siyap Shrine procession during the 2026 vegetarian festival, documented by provincial authorities on October 17. This report concerns that completed event, rather than suggesting the procession is still taking place today.
The Trang public relations office says the governor, local officials, shrine committee and residents joined the procession through the municipality. The shrine stands in the old Kantang Road neighbourhood and has a history exceeding a century, according to the provincial account.
