GYEN holders face separate Coinbase conversion and issuer-redemption deadlines
Coinbase’s Help page schedules conversion of GYEN balances into USDC for 26–30 October 2026, at the market rate with no transaction fee. Users who do not want conversion must transfer to a compatible wallet before 26 October.
GMO Trust’s separate wind-down began on 15 May. Its initial direct-redemption period ends on 11 November 2026. Eligible holders can redeem at 1 GYEN per Japanese yen, subject to issuer account and verification conditions.
Coinbase will disable GYEN sends and receives on 26 October; later deposits may not be recoverable. Secondary-market prices can differ from redemption value, and liquidity may decline. Verify networks, addresses and official notices. These procedures are distinct, and this report is not investment advice.
