English Version
The Ethereum Foundation plans to activate the Glamsterdam upgrade on the Sepolia testnet on October 6, 2026, at 13:53:36 UTC. Node operators must update compatible execution and consensus clients before activation.
The upgrade introduces several protocol-level changes, including ETH transfer logs, a slot-number opcode, a higher maximum contract size and new stack-manipulation instructions. Testnet deployment is intended to surface technical issues before later stages.
This schedule applies to Sepolia and does not set a mainnet activation date. Regular users do not need to act immediately. Crypto assets remain volatile, and a testnet upgrade should not be treated as a guarantee of investment returns.
